I earned my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University. I view counseling as a close partnership, where my role is to walk alongside each individual with compassion, understanding, and genuine care. Through meaningful and personal conversations, I help people discover their own inner strengths so they can heal, grow, and thrive both during and beyond the counseling process. I consider it a privilege to be invited into the most personal and challenging parts of people’s lives, and I deeply respect the courage it takes to reach out for help.
Many of the clients I work with are men, or young men, who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or discouraged by the challenges they are facing. Whether they are struggling with addiction, unwanted behaviors, relationship difficulties, stress related to work and family responsibilities, or a general sense that life is not turning out the way they had hoped, I provide a supportive and nonjudgmental space for growth and change. Together, we work to better understand the underlying issues contributing to these struggles, build practical tools for lasting change, and create a clearer path toward greater purpose, connection, and fulfillment.
I bring a unique perspective to counseling, having spent 24 years working in business and industry before becoming a professional counselor. This experience has reinforced my belief in a holistic approach to wellness and living an abundant life. I enjoy helping clients explore the interconnected roles of family, career, relationships, stress management, achievement, self-image, physical and mental health, and spirituality.
My wife and I have been married for nearly thirty years, and we are the proud parents of five wonderful children, all of whom are musicians. Outside of counseling, I enjoy listening to and playing music, as well as exploring and appreciating the beauty of the natural world.
