Our Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) offer comprehensive treatment for both adults and adolescents.
The programs are designed for persons who have not responded to other forms of treatment, have external requirements, and/or recently were discharged from inpatient treatment. Our IOP programs are structured to assist patients with treatment to prevent further risk of deterioration, monitor and provide therapeutic support, educate on needed skills, increase personal insight and to assist with reintegration into healthy daily functioning.
The staff includes, but is not limited to, licensed professional counselors, associate counselors, peer support specialists, and behavioral health para-professionals.
Treatment Approaches
Each program we offer utilizes a unique combination of therapeutic approaches designed to heal and facilitate change. Common modalities across all treatment programs include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Art Therapy, Spiritual Development, Attachment Theory and our Arbinger inspired belief in achieving a "heart of peace".
How it works
Clients seeking intensive outpatient treatment must first schedule an assessment. Total Life Counseling offers free assessments. Most assessments can be completed within 48 hours. Total Life Counseling does not offer emergency intakes. All assessments are done by appointment only. Following the assessment our staff will determine eligibility for intensive treatment. When applicable, a client's insurance will be contacted to assist in this determination. If client meets criteria for IOP, admission requirements will be presented to client or client's family. Payment and Fees
Total Life Counseling is currently working with several leading insurance companies for contracting. We are proud to accept Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna and other commercial / private insurance plans for our intensive outpatient programs. When possible we can bill your insurance as out-of-network or work with you on a discounted cash rate.
