Allison received her Master’s Degree in Counseling from ASU and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She has worked with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief/loss, transition difficulties and trauma. She is trained in EMDR, a model of therapy that seeks to bring adaptive resolution to adverse life experiences. She has also worked extensively with adolescents spending the last several years of her 30+ years in education as a junior high and high school counselor. She brings a strong understanding of this age group and the unique struggles faced by students today.
Allison views the counseling relationship as a partnership where her skills simply complement the strengths her clients bring to the process. She approaches each client with “unconditional positive regard” and structures each session with the individual’s needs in mind. She encourages clients to find balance and healing through meaningful spiritual practice and healthy lifestyle choices. Allison has been married over 30 years. Her greatest joy is spending time with her family consisting of two sons, a daughter-in-law and an adorable granddaughter.
